The world was right and well or atleast as well as it was going to get. There was war, murder, sicknesses and crime. These incidents were an everyday thing and it was something people had to learn to accept and live with. Days went by but unbeknownst to the people. No one had any idea that the people trying to protect them from deadly sicknesses were silently killing them.

It all began with an a sudden uprise in lancet fluke. The fungus was spreading from ant, to goat, and onto people. The disease was making ordinary people act.. zombie like. Scientists and doctors alike rushed to find a cure for this abomination that was spreading like wild fire. For months a group of doctors at a medical center in Pittsburgh called UPMC studied the virus. They mixed chemicals, tested and repeated this. However on one day, December 29 to be exact, everything went wrong. The building had been set ablaze. All the researchers and students fled UPMC, leaving behind the lancet fluke disease they were testing. When the fire was put out, the building was left alone for a few weeks.

During this span of time insects and other creatures began to inhabit the building. The lancet fluke fungus ( mutated by chemicals ) escaped the lab and the whole process began again. The fungus spread from ant, to goat, to humans. But this time the fungus just didn't make people act zombie like. It was killing people and making them rise from the dead. Once the dead now walked the earth they began spreading the lancet fluke fungus through bites and scratches. The very fungus, once harmless had since mutated and changed in many ways.

Time skip 15 years later.... the world is in shambles. Animals run free in these urban jungles. Some have created groups of their own while some roam by themselves. You have to always watch your back because you never know what might be coming....

More human zombies are starting to appear. Becoming common enemy number one among the animal and canines around here. And news or more like a rumor is running through the land speaking about a brewing war between the Cosa Nostra and the Desperadoes. Are these assumptions true or just more smoke and mirrors?
